Saying goodbye

Our chapter in Rexburg is quickly coming to an end.
It feels like we have been here for a very long time but also seems like it was just yesterday that we were moving in and Scott was carrying me across our first threshold. I couldn't have asked for a better first apartment.
I will always cherish our first little home in Rexburg.
It's crazy to think that we may never be back to Rexburg again, or maybe the next time we are back we could be moving one of our kids for college!
It's been a fun adventure to say the least.
We've had many great memories and firsts here in Rexburg:

+Many dances in the kitchen/living room
+Our first Valentines day together
+My first Birthday married
+Countless hours and hard work studying for the OAT and filling out optometry application
+Found out we are pregnant
+A million movie marathons because there was nothing else to do
+Used all of our wedding presents for the first time
+competitive wii tournaments
+Living alone as a married couple for the first time
+Playing card games
+Dinner for two everyday...now three ;)
+Built a snowman together for the first time
+Carved our initials in a tree at porter park
+Had our first picnic together
+First Halloween together
+Trips to the library
+Dropping off and picking Scott up from school
+Many trips to Little Caesars pizza
+Walks in the snow
+Asking Scott if he REALLY has to go to school each morning
And last but not least Scott graduating!!!

So grateful for all our sweet memories made in Rexburg and can't wait to start this next adventure in our lives!

The morning we left 3203

17 weeks

How far along? 17 weeks
How big is baby? As big as a turnip (5 in, 5 oz)
Total weight gain/loss: 7 lbs
Maternity clothes? I wore my first maternity dress the other day to the temple and I loved it! I can't wait to buy more maternity clothes for the summer, so comfy and roomy. I plan on wearing dresses and skirts my whole pregnancy
Sleep: Like a baby, I am starting to have some real crazy dreams though!
Best moment this week: Scott put his ear to my belly one night and the baby kicked him in the face!
Movement: Yes, he is a very active boy. A couple times this week I have looked down at my belly to see it bulging out on one side or the other...the baby likes to move around :)
Food cravings: Pizza pie cafe, my sweet hubby took me there the other day...so good. I'm still obsessing over salads, that has been my steady crazing my whole pregnancy
Food Aversions: None! Yay
Gender: BOY!
Labor Signs: None
Pregnancy Symptoms: Nothing too major. I would say my pregnancy so far as been a breeze which I am sooo thankful for. Hopefully I am not speaking too soon. I have started having some crazy dreams though. Apparently it's normal.
Belly Button in or out? In. But I think it's starting to make it's way out, still have a long ways to go though
What I miss: Laying on my back
What I am looking forward to: Seeing our baby boy again in a few days!!!
Upcoming appointments/events:  Next Monday including ultrasound, can't wait
Milestones: Starting to get past the point of just looking chubby to having a baby bump :)

16 weeks

How far along? 16 weeks! Baby is the size of an avocado
Total weight gain: 6 lbs
Maternity clothes? I bought my first maternity dress at Target last week and I am so excited to wear it once the baby bump is a little bigger. I have been wearing loose clothing and keeping my jean buttons undone!
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: I'm sleeping well! I still toss and turn throughout the night but I have gotten more use to sleeping on my side. Bathroom trips are a guarantee
Best moment this week: Finding out the gender of our baby and seeing his cute little features. I am so in love and cannot wait until September
Miss anything? Not having any restraints when working out
Movement: If my hands are on my belly I can sometimes feel the baby moving and I love it
Food cravings: Ice cream, more descriptively oreo mcflurries
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week, I'm a little surprised
Gender: BOY!!! Scott and I were both wrong! It was so fun seeing our baby moving around being so active in the ultrasound. There was no question, it is a boy :)
Labor signs: No
Symptoms: Stuffy nose almost all the time and I need something to eat every 2 hours at least. Nothing too bad this week though
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy but a little emotional this week :)
Looking forward to: Picking out fabric, making our sweet boy blankets burp cloths and car seat covers, and planning the nursery color scheme
