Hello third trimester!

I am so excited to be this far along, because at the end of this trimester I will have a sweet baby boy to hold and to love. I feel like I have been so behind on my blogging, so here are some fun happenings:

+Scott and I have been busy registering for our baby boy. I guess Scott wouldn't really consider this fun ;). But none the less we have spent a lot of time reading reviews and figuring out what brands are better. I had no idea how many brands there were!
+we bought a beautiful Moses bassinet off of craiglist that I am just itching to put our baby in, or even set up! I can't wait. (Hoping to move into an apartment soon)
+baby L's kicks are getting so strong and he moves around a lot! I don't know when he even sleeps. Yesterday at church he had the hiccups!
+all the nursery bedding is almost done! My mom and I made the bed skirt and now we just need to make the bumpers.
+After Scott and I moved from Rexburg I decided I wanted to change our whole color scheme in our living room, I am known for changing my mind a lot. Anyways, I have been busy painting and buying new treasures for our home. Scott and I even reupholstered an old chair that we are very proud of!
+I just recently got a new canon camera which I am sooo excited about. I can't wait to start taking photos of our lil babes, I'm planning on taking the newborn photos!
+Scott and I just spent a week at Bear Lake with my dad's side for a family reunion which was such a fun trip. Scott won the whole Bocce tournament and I won the corn-hole toss tournament, we were both pretty surprised ;).
+After searching for a cute baby book we found the cutest one at Anthropology, we are going to start writing in it tonight :).
+We decided to make homemade strawberry jam last night, now we are set for several years! YUM!
+Every night baby L likes to cuddle with his dad and has been kicking daddy in the face a lot haha, we are both so excited for September.
+I am now visiting the doctor every two weeks, my next appointment is tomorrow. Scott has been the best husband/dad making it to each appointment with me.
+Scott and I are still apartment searching for somewhere to live in Forest Grove, we have two good options that we are applying for next week.
+Baby L's baby shower is coming up at the end of this month along with our maternity photo shoot with my favorite photographer, Sunny!

These are just some simple things that have been making me oh so happy!

We're expecting!!!

S u r p r i s e ! We are so so so happy to finally be able to share the news...we are expecting, baby Lindquist due September! These past few months have been the longest months of my life trying to keep this secret. I've been so anxious to share this great news.
I found out on January 6th, 2014. Seeing that positive sign on the pregnancy test was one of the best feelings I've ever felt. It is an amazing miracle. At first there was disbelief and then tears of joy, lots of tears (at least from me). This seems to have become a trend for me, crying. I cry a lot now.
I took a pregnancy test when Scott was at school, so waiting for him on the table when he got home was the test with a note. Of course he saw it right away, he is very observant. He was very surprised and so happy, I loved seeing his reaction and his excitement to be a dad.

Scott and I are so excited and grateful for the opportunity to be parents. I have never wanted anything more than to be a mother. We feel so blessed to have a sweet baby joining our family and can't wait to find out the gender! April 14!
At our first doctor visit I was 8 1/2 weeks along and we were lucky enough to get an ultrasound. The doctor was just going to try to hear the heartbeat but then we mentioned to her that twins run in my family. My mom is a twin and my grandma was a twin, so she went ahead and did an ultrasound just to make sure...ONE baby. I have to admit I was a little relieved, I don't know how I would have been able to hold TWO babies inside my body.
It was so so so amazing to see our little tiny baby inside of me, it made it much more real! I wish I could see our baby growing inside of me every single day. I can't wait for our next ultrasound!!!

Love day

We were so excited to spend our first Valentines Day together, and married, what could be better? I wanted to make it a very special day, so to start the day off right I made chocolate chip heart pancakes for my Valentine. I thought making the pancakes heart-shaped would be much easier than it was (the picture is from my second go around)! Unfortunately Scott had school all day, so while he studied and attended his classes I made some delicious cheesecake to enjoy after our dinner out and got all dolled up.
We decided we weren't going to get each other any gifts but rather just go out on a nice date, to my favorite chinese restaurant in the whole wide world I might add. It all worked out perfectly too, because before Scott got home, he called me with the best news and BEST Valentines Day present we both could have received...he got accepted to Pacific University of Optometry! Tears of joy filled my eyes when he told me the great news. We are both so relieved and feel SO blessed to be able to have gotten into our number one choice. We are so excited to be able to be close to family while he attends his next four years of schooling.
I couldn't be more proud of my husband and all of his hard work he has gone through to get where he is today. I'm so lucky to be able to have him as my eternal Valentine!

Turkey day

This Thanksgiving was so much fun. Scott and I have a lot to be thankful for! In particular Scott's OAT being over and his application complete! Right in time for a relaxing Thanksgiving week.
We spent our Thanksgiving in Utah with my two sister's families and my parents who flew down from Washington. It was a week full of delicious food, great company, lots of laughter, and love. my favorite part was being with family and having my husband to share the wonderful holiday with.
I must say having a spouse makes EVERYTHING better.

(Happy Thanksgiving from the Lindquist's)

(During the week I asked my mom to take some photographs of Scott and I for a potential Christmas card. I want to start this tradition early, that way Scott knows what to expect ;) I will post more of our little photo-shoot on another blog post)

(This little babe has gotten so big! I couldn't get enough of his chubby cheeks. So cute)

(Five pies! Funny thing is no one touched the pumpkin pie until a couple days after Thanksgiving. I guess we figured we needed to buy a pumpkin pie to keep up tradition)

(Scott and I doing the airplane. We were laughing our heads off, this is seriously a work out)

(Saturday morning before my mom left Kim, Harlow :), Bre, my mom, and I went and got our nails done. Girl time is the best. We did invite the boys to get a pedicure but of course they denied)

(Saturday night Brandon, Bre, Ryder, Scott and I went to Temple Square to see the lights. Scott had never seen the lights before and I was so happy to be with him for this first. They were a m a z i n g. Oh and of course Bre and I got away with a little shopping before we headed home)

(I couldn't leave this little incident out when talking about our week in Utah. Wednesday morning Scott woke up with a PUFFY eye. Poor guy. It turned out to be a stye. Fortunately it didn't last too long and my parents had some eye drops for him that helped a lot. I was just glad we were able to still take our photos :). This picture makes is normal eye look huge ha)
